I got mine at 23 because I needed to pay for a hotel for a convention I was going to that year. A month later, my debit card details got stolen and they tried to use $800 dollars on shoes so I had to cancel my debit card, so I was lucky I still had my credit card.

Got mine when I was 18, always maxed it out buying my aunts business supplies while she gave me cash. So the bank thinks Im rich or something giving me high limit exclusive cards these days gaming the system.

My first credit card (which I really don't count) was when I first turned 18. Got a credit card from Kay Jeweler when I took my gf at the time to look at rings. Never used the card. My second card however was the Amazon Store Card a year after. Wanted to buy that same gf a netbook and used the Amazon card for it. I still have this card to this day.

Why do people avoid getting a credit card until their late 20s? Just don't spend more than you can afford thats it

Don't use it for the first 6 months or so. Just put a subscription service on it like Netflix or Spotify and let it autopay. That'll build your credit pretty fast.

Yup. That relationship lasted over 2 years. And honestly, even now, it's still the best relationship I ever had even though that was 12-13 years ago.
