Heck, at one point you were asking Schmen for advice on how to avoid getting caught because you found out he was working as a PI (to which the obvious answer was, of course, "just don't cheat on your wife"), because you knew full well that you were cheating. All of this "contract wife" business has been entirely a post facto justification that you rolled out after we spent a couple months dunking on you for it and you realized you weren't going to get anyone to agree with you with your original approach, and it still doesn't justify anything because extramarital sexual relations without your spouse's consent are always going to be cheating, regardless of the nature of the marriage.

I don't doubt that you're better off out of that marriage. Nobody (for the most part) is suggesting that you should have stuck it out if you were unhappy. But sleeping around instead of ending it properly is just cowardly, and you should expect people to give you a hard time for that.

It's very simple: Cheating is any sexual activity that your partner doesn't want you doing. Your wife didn't want you sleeping with anyone else. Therefore, sleeping with anyone else was cheating. That remained true for as long as she was your partner, which in this case was until you explicitly separated.
