Some pretty damn brutal deaths for a Marvel movie. Lots of nice little easter eggs too.

I just wish Dr Strange wasnt such a fucking jobber most of the time.

The movie felt very Rami. Like it took a lot of inspiration from Army of Darkness. It even had my man Bruce in a great comedy bit.

I heard it doesn't incorporate anything from Loki, which is disappointing to say the least.

The horror elements and the cgi were great. The kills were great too. Evil Wanda was great.

As far as i could tell it did not. The next movie is another multiverse affair based on the end credits teaser, so maybe that will.

Another thing: I wish it hadn't stopped. The movie wasn't long enough. It was a wild ride through and through.

A name-drop as an explanation for the multiverse becoming unstable

Anything

I mean, Thanos was a post-credits Easter egg for like 10 years

A further lack of consistency is the last thing this franchise needs

9/10 movie. Definitely one of the better MCU films.

Pros:
Great action scenes
Wanda is finally relatable
Dr. Strange is finally relatable
High stakes with consequences
America was...fine, despite just being a plot device
Horror elements were awesome
Film finally feels different and not the same old same old Disney MCU nonsense.

Cons:
Not enough universes; there's only 2 really
They REALLY go out of their way and stretch to handicap Wanda because she's OP as shit.

One piece of writing bothered me a lot: "I was showing mercy." REALLY? That's what you're going to write as the excuse why she hasn't just taken America?

But it's a great film. I would put it up there with Civil War, Infinity War, and No Way Home.

Official Fujin of the Mortal Kombat 11 board. Trails of Cold Steel is the most underappreciated JRPG series ever.

They only go on about two but there have been showings of other universes, just not in great expansion. I did enjoy that they brought up the incursions which was a big part of a storyline from Hickman's Avengers where they were pushing for the Ultimate universe to end.

It would have been cool if they brought back Quicksilver too. Like one of the alt Wandas still has him around and she meets him for a moment.

It kind of bothers me that she was doing all of this for kids that never existed but not even a throwaway mention of finding a universe where her twin brother is still alive.

All the movies up until the next Avengers baddie is going to be multiverse connected somehow.

Definitely one of those MCU movies that I can see myself coming back to just as a comfort watch.

I knew Raimi's style would be perfect for Doctor Strange and I really hope he'll direct the 3rd one

Honestly, it's a bit of a missed opportunity that some version of an Evan Peters Quicksilver didn't show up and for Wanda to address the whole Ralph Bohner thing.

But I also can't think of anywhere where it'd fit into this movie

Honestly, I feel like the MCU is gonna be very interesting going forward. With the first 3 phases, all the movies were sort of funneling us towards a very specific endpoint with Thanos.

But it seems like with Phase 4 so far, we have specific "pockets" of the MCU that occasionally overlap. Similar to how things were in the first 2 Phases, but now with more interesting pairings of characters now that everyone knows each other. I like it.

I'm 99% sure this is all going to lead to a big Secret Wars 2015 style movie where multiple universes collide (as was alluded to in MoM), but now I think the focus is gonna be less on throwing every MCU hero at one major villain, and more on there being multiple threats occurring all at once that require different teams to be formed, with some characters having membership on multiple teams.
