Vita for sure. Its my portable PS1 classic machine. Ive spent thousands of hours on the Vita with fewer than 100 hours being spent on actual Vita games.

Vita had so many problems and barely any, if any, good exclusive games. Dreamcast was a super cool beauty with hit after hit. The Dreamcast was robbed of success, whereas with the Vita I'm surprised it had any success at all. And I say that as someone who's using one rn to play Steins;Gate.

I just set up my PSP on my CRT TV for that reason. I need to get a DS3 so I can lounge with it

I have better memories of Dreamcast than I do of Vita. Considering the DC was only supported for two years, it had the two most incredible years of basically any console ever.

Soul Sacrifice is awesome if you've never played it.
Freedom Wars
Persona 4 Golden
Tearaway
Gravity Rush
Wipeout 2048 (got all of Wipeout HD's tracks as free DLC)

That's about all I can think of as far as exclusives go. It had some surprisingly great versions of multiplatform titles - unlike the 3DS, it got an amazing full port of Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed.

It also got a port of Borderlands 2 with all the DLC, which was awful but still kind of amazing.

Yeah, for as much shit as I give it for not having exclusives, it's been great for me who doesn't have a PS4 but wanted to play some games that were only available there or the Vita. I bought the thing for Grim Fandango and Civilization Revolution 2.

Its super comfy. I think the cradle and component cables are like $200 now days though. I remember grabbing them at KMart for like $15 on clearance

I wonder if the PSTV would be a better option. I wish I got it when it was like $50 after it got cancelled

It un-ironically had the best version of Rayman Legends - it had the Wii U exclusive touchscreen levels (since it also had a touchscreen) plus exclusive levels of its own. And it looked incredible on the OLED screen.

There was a period of time when third parties actually ported console versions of titles to the Vita instead of making a "portable" version and while they typically had worse frame rates, the visuals held up and it was kind-of mind-blowing. Although IMO nothing will ever be as mind-blowing as the PSP at launch - handheld games looked like 16-bit titles (and DS looked like PSOne-era at very best), then the PSP comes in and is basically a pocket PlayStation 2. Which was especially crazy considering it was still the PS2 generation.

One of the launch titles, Tony Hawk's Underground 2, looked almost identical to the PS3 version. Wipeout Pure ran at 60fps in Zone Mode and looked as good as the consoles out at the time.

I can play some of the best RPGs of all time on a Vita.

Are there any other systems that charge you extortionate amounts for storage while also tying your save data to the game file? Uninstall a game to make space, and lose the save file! Hope you're ready to pay for PS+ for cloud storage, or a bigger memory card! Singlehandedly makes the Vita considerably worse for me. One of the most anticonsumer things any system has ever had.

360 doesn't do that either! I know that for a fact! I have one right in front of me! With save games on it for games that aren't installed! Only the Vita does this! (maybe the PS3 or PS4 or something does, I haven't played those as much).

I own one and it sucks. It had a lot of potential but there are barely any games that make it worth purchasing.

The only decent part about the Vita is the still active homebrew scene.

PS1 games control like shit unless you shell out money for controller grips with shoulder buttons; something becoming increasingly rare and expensive

PSP games are a 50/50 with a lot of them having input lag when using native emulation
