Do you have moral / ethical reasons you wouldn't be able to be a juror? Any moral / ethical reasons why you would NOT be the right type of person to pass judgement upon another person on trial?
I recently heard some very interesting answers to this question. What is your answer?

Because I tend to be lazy and non-confrontational so I'll just go with whatever the other jurors say instead of coming to my own conclusion just so I can be done with it sooner.

I would never trust a cop's word on anything, so I would never serve on a jury due to flagrant and relentless bias.

I can't actually call guilty on someone unless I see a video of them in the act or they have an extensive criminal history that implies they're capable of having done it.

I couldn't guarantee an impartial judgement on certain subjects (in particular I would be unwilling to convict someone over cannabis offences unless it involved selling to kids) but beyond that, I'm fine with it.

This. If I think a law is stupid, Id absolutely vote to acquit even if the accused was obviously guilty. As a result, itd be improper for me to take an other to be a juror.

yes.

i believe i am worth more than the measly pittance they pay. Also, the court system is systemically flawed and designed to favour some over others.

luckily, in my country, jury trials are extremely rare

That's the thing, there are A LOT of stupid laws I don't agree with. I have a very severe problem being part of a decision that gets someone thrown in prison if it's a law I don't even agree with.

If you put me on the jury for a drug crime, unless they did something other than drugs I'm voting not guilty regardless of evidence.

Having been on a jury it's definitely tough. Seeing the guy sentenced right in front of me was... rough.

No, but I would probably never get the opportunity, being an attorney and all. I'd most likely be too much of a risk for either party.
