I remember once when something happened to my mom and both my dad and I ran back tk the house.

I dont think I ever saw him run before that and I was a ten year old in 1986 so fairly healthy.

My dad absolutely destroyed me in that race.

Amusing as the Wilhelm scream is... yeah, it's just so iconic it does kinda take me out of the moment in the film.

Dude, I work with children that age. The vast majority of them can't even run a mile, let alone do it well.

Back in the day I used to run 5 minute miles consistently, but I will concede that was some time ago and I couldn't match that now, but 10 year olds are slow as fuck.

What kind of place asks 10 year olds to run a mile to see if they can do it? We didn't do that in school until we were in our teens and even then people still cried

Long dialogs from the villain to explain their intentions, while letting their guard down and the hero doesnt take advantage. They just sit there and listen.

Alternatively, being able to hold a conversation completely uninterrupted while having an all out brawl. Dude just got hit with a lead pipe, odds are he forgot the last thing you said and yet... he responds eloquently.

Not a movie but this one episode of Criminal Minds had a disabled guy running people down in a big truck. He was chasing this lady and she just kept running down the road. It was a wooded area near a cliff, all she had to do was go hide behind a tree and the truck couldn't have gotten her, it would've gone over the edge if it tried.

You've not heard of the daily mile? Loads of primary schools in the UK do that.

I don't remember doing it at 10, but once I was a teenager it was a thing at least for sure.

No idea what they do these days though, as nephews are still like 3-8

I feel like its such a cheap way to make your movie seem way more interesting off the hop.
