The funny thing is that I've heard similar concepts from folks on the left as well. Obviously I'm against it, but that's interesting.

The internet is too important and vital to seal off from most people. Yes.

That being said, there needs to be some intense regulation regarding social media platforms. There are too many objectively dumb, naive fucks that are ruining life for others because they're too stupid to understand how the internet works and believe everything they read.

Children especially shouldn't have presences on social platforms.

The internet is the single most important invention humanity has come up with, and we've collectively squandered it.

My internet is cheaper than my light bill. I honestly don't think like the idea of my internet being ran like some of these utility companies.
