I've pretty much never bothered with "ultimate" stuff in RPGs because you get ridiculously overpowered with just the regular shit the game throws at you in dungeons and shops. Chrono Trigger was cool because you could get the best armor/weapons from doing character-based story quests that wrapped up old sub-plots. But that's about it. --- https://imgur.com/dAri4ON ... Tbh, although TZA fixed a lot, there's still a hell of a lot of stuff that really needed to be telegraphed. Want to unlock the doors in the Necrohol? Well, go to these locations that you never have any reason to go to and talk to random NPCs, then go to another location and press some buttons in a completely unintuitive order. And don't get me started on the bazaar. I don't need my hand to be held, but it would be nice to have some kind of clues in game.
