In the sense that I'm for equality, I guess. Never been a fan of the movement, though.

The problem is there is no difference between the organization and the movement. If the American heart association was caught embezzling money I could give money to a different organization that helps fund research for heart disease.

I don't see how anybody could be against the police using less excessive force.

That's the thing that's been causing a lot of unnecessary arguments with people for the last two years.
When people are saying they don't support BLM, 99% of them are NOT referring to the idea (the idea is perfectly fine and the vast majority of people support it), they are referring to the organization (they are fucked up and have been pulling a lot of bullshit. See BOTH videos below to see what I mean). The problem is that the name of the organization creates huge amounts of confusion and huge amounts of miscommunication and when someone says they don't support BLM they are referring to the organization (99% of them are in support of the idea, it's the organization that most have a problem with), but because of the name, some people automatically think they are hating on the idea (when that's not the case) resulting in one side thinking the other side is some ultra alt-righter (when that's not the case) and the other side thinking the others are some crazy alt-leftist (when that's not the case either). Miscommunication ends up running wild and you have two groups of people screaming at each other when in reality they actually support the same thing... the idea.

The IDEA of BLM is a GOOD thing.
But the people running the organization who are using the name BLM are NOT a good thing.

These two videos below (the first one is ONE minute and the second video is a little less than 4 minutes) perfectly sums up why a lot of people are pissed off that the BLM organization (NOT the idea... but the organization).
The idea is perfectly fine, but there needs to be another organization or better leaders or some type of other alternative because right now the people in charge are fucking everything up and making things so much worse for everyone. They didn't solve anything, they just fucked everything up and are making things so much worse. See videos below (both are super short but get the points across perfectly) to see what I mean:

The word "movement" has become associated with the organization. It would have been better to word it as "idea" (NOT use the word "movement") and also to explain the difference between the idea and organization (which are two very different things. See all of post # 57 for details) in the opening post of this topic to provide extra clarity so there is no confusion (or at the very least to greatly minimize confusion). Also, splitting up the "no" option in this poll severely made this poll even more confusing and inaccurate. Should have just been "yes" and "no" as the only two options with a hell of a lot of clarity in the opening post about the difference between the idea and the organization.
