Started taking it last night and I'm feeling dizzy/lightheaded/nauseous this morning, wondering if anyone else had a similar initial reaction to it

My anxiety's a bit down though so...it's working I guess >_>

Yeah. Those effects went away pretty quickly for me, within the first week or so.

My wife takes it. There is a ~2 week adjustment period when starting it.

I started Celexa yesterday and had similar effects. Gonna take it at night instead of in the morning.

Yeah the first three days on Lexapro I didn't sleep at all. Then I was fine.

If she says we partied, then I'm pretty sure we partied. I really don't remember. I remember we departed from our bodies.

I slept fine last night. Took it around 7:30pm and went to bed at like 11pm. Guess we'll see if that gets worse

Similar symptoms for a couple weeks. I had some time where I wasn't able to get my prescription and went without for a bit and it sucked.

You have to wean yourself off them because.... yeah. Bad things can happen.

Sidenote. TC, I'm on 20 MG Lexapro and yea it takes a bit to adjust. One weird side effect? Very difficult to finish from sex. Like, cramping up, muscles giving out before getting the nut off.

I take this same dosage and have for a few years. I've also experienced that same side effect ever since I started it.

Well shit now I'm anxious again for a whole new reason T_T

Hopefully it won't be as bad since my dose is half of what you both have

They had me on it as a teenager. Didnt work so then they had me on klonopin too.

All it did was lead to substance abuse problems.

Idk if its working for you then roll with it, just be cautious because it made me super irritable and kind of mean.

Oh I think you'll be fine and I think that you guys will be on your way to starting your family. That side effect isn't really even all that common from what my doctor explained.

As far as your anxiety (ironic eh lol) The way I look at is...well...the alternative is no way to live. Not for you or for your wife and soon your baby.

Personally, I was fucking miserable to be around, wasn't working out anymore, wasn't eating, wasn't really even taking care of myself. I was just a living zombie and at one point I was getting to a really, really dark place that I never want to go back to. For me, the side effect is worth it.

God damn this nausea sucks

Main reason I got on it was my anxiety was getting so bad that I'd be shaking in the mornings and throw up (dry heaves 99% of the time) nearly every day for the past month. Now I'm not shaking but I'm nauseous and dry heaving anyway lol

Hopefully won't be too long until that stops

Took it for almost 2 years. 10mg per day. Tried 15mg but it killed my dick.

It was my first and only ssri ive tried and it did help but with a combo of therapy ofc.

Been without it November 2020 trying to deal with my shit without it, its easier but its still hard and exhausting.

The effects made me less emotionally sensitive, good and bad, I hated that I couldnt really cry anymore when watching sad stuff of shows etc.

Changed my sense of taste a bit, gave me extremly vivid crazy nightmares and dreams, lowered my sex drive, made it harder to cum. A positive side effect was it made weed more potent for me, I usually got hallucinations that I loved.
