It was a supernatural soap opera. There was this one character that was supposed to be a Dwarf or something. My sister had it on everyday one week. I would be in the room sometimes while it was on, and all week the Dwarf was being menaced by a crocodile. I remember passions, there was a witch named Tabitha, and she had a talking doll named Timothy(played by a child like dwarf). Apparently, there was a feud between the families in the old country(Ireland, I think?). The Bradys are working class stiffs, good guys, and the DiMeras(evil) are rich, and run some kind of company,(Im not sure what they do, fashion, maybe?) As for characters, soaps have big casts, and characters periodically go on hiatus, meaning that they arent on the show for a while. And yes, sometimes an actor leaves the show, and a new person takes over the character. When a new actor appears for the first time a voice says, the character X is now played by Y. Eventually it was cancelled by NBC but picked up on by some random TV station that wasn't basic cable so I never finished the final season or two that was on that. My Mom watched Days so I got into it as well for a few years. I remember the storyline where Marlena was possessed was when I started.
