To have the #1 Pro Wrestling Company in Japan do a joint PPV with the #2 company in the US, that's a big deal. It's also the first of it's kind in the modern era. Something WWE wouldn't even consider. Not to mention their use of people like Tazz and Jake Roberts as managers, as well as Chris Jericho basically carrying the company on his back for the first year while getting almost everyone he worked with over in the process. Meanwhile in WWE, you get Brock Lesnar and Goldberg squashing main roster talent in 2 minutes and only losing to people who don't need the wins in the first place (AKA each other and Roman Reigns).
