My membership is about to expire and I'm getting a strange error that won't let me renew my membership. Has anyone seen the error before? I don't want to lose my gold status as it is very hard to re-apply for it. I would rather just renew it and skip all that paperwork.

I've noticed the same issue. Supposedly they are gonna allow users a free test run for a month. Probably working the bugs out.

If they are allowing a free test run for a month they might be working on a Gold membership redesign similar to the message board redesign that was full of bugs a while back. I wonder what new gold features they will be testing.

I didnt think it was worth it at the beginning. However they have been adding new perks such as the ability to see other user's deleted messages and the mod protection feature that gives you 3 strikes before actually getting a message moded. If you are like me and want to spy on deleted messages it is worth it IMO. Or if you post a lot, that mod protection thing is nice.

I dont really use the alt tracker feature but I know it is there. It hasn't been that useful for me.

depends on how often you post. if youre a regular then absolutely its worth it.

Hope I don't run into this bug, I'm still waiting to activate the loyalty perk that lets you see closed off private boards.

Where can I find Allen's email? I remember seeing that option somewhere but cant find it.

Think it might be time for you to subcribe to the platinum membership option

I'd rather stick with Gold. Platinum is too expensive for me right now due to other life expenses and Gold has everything I really use.

I bought the lifetime back in 2008 and activated it on this account so I dont have any issues with it. They really should bring back the lifetime member option. I aint got time to be payin monthly

i never realized upvotes weren't on gamefaqs gold, is it really just platinum that has them?

platinum is such a rip off. barely any decent flairs comapred to gold and the edit feature isnt as useful as allen thinks it is.

It depends on the level you purchase. Some are invite only. They just give some extra features not available to normal users.

Gold offers most of the things people want, platinum is just that extra bit that others feel is worth the cost.

This wouldn't have happened if you subbed to the Platinum membership. LOL @ poor people.

I'm sorry, but you need at least Platinum or preferably higher to really get the fullest out of GameFAQs. Gold's honestly a ripoff in that regard. Hell, the browser games alone make Platinum worthwhile, and that's just one of the added features it and the higher accounts have.

GFAQs Gold may seem like a joke to you and all other Platinum memebers, for some of us that's all we have.

To be fair, "Smug Superiority" is literally one of the advertised features of our Platinum Membership.

Did you read the T&Cs of your last renewal? The small font I mean. The very small font. Youd notice if you read it that you need to increase your fee 5x if you want to reserve your membership.

Am I the only one here with GameFAQs Diamond? Lol, plebs. I can moderate the mods with Diamond. It does cost a $15 fee per moderation, but hell is it funny watching Error freak out.
