My sense of humor is really similar to my mom's. I think it's just rubbed off on me because of how much time I've spent with her

I didn't really spend a lot of time with my dad, but he also jokes all the time like I do. I think he's the core of my humor, but everything on top of that is stuff I picked up from being really into the comedians way of thinking.

Maybe, I don't really know. My parents don't try to connect with me as a person that often.

But in terms of comedy on TV and stuff though my dad and I both love Seinfeld. But I just mean I don't joke around with them in conversation much. And if I try they don't really engage.

Sorry I clarified a bit

But yeah it is sad. It's kind of my fault since I'm not super independent so most of their talking to me is trying to figure out if my day is going well, but that's all they care about.

The only thing I inherited from my father was an unquenchable thirst for alcohol.

I see now. And I'm the same actually, I don't really joke around with my parents all that much either. I'm known as "the serious one" in my family lol.

idk about inherit, but my mom and i have created a lot of humor and inside jokes together

I've seen texts from my mom to my sister and the way they talk is so different. Same with how my mom talks to my dad, I'm the only one who gets treated like... whatever it is
