Still awaiting detailed Final Patch notes. Who's jumping back in?

The game was crashing like 5+ times a day for me when it first came out, and I know I wasn't alone in this. When they instituted the login queue on top of this, I gave up entirely because it got simply too annoying to play.

Have they ironed those issues out?

AFAIK, no. But we can assume that the popularity of this game has died down a ton so login queues should not be crazy anymore.

Have they made specs like summon druid playable past nightmare without grinding for the most specific shit?
if no I will remain a zoomancer

I just want to be able to do the following: cast all spells while in werewolf/werebear mode. Have the wolves and bear out. And a faster fucking molten boulder

At the end of the day, theres no end game content.

you spend hours doing endless magic find runs, just to get better magic finding gear to do runs with.

and then you couldnt log in half the time you actually wanted to play.

Without chat and lobbies on console the game is unplayable trash. You couldn't find a game ever with that shit d3 party finder system and they want to add a ladder season? Game is a joke.

Yeah I was done as soon as I made my Hammerdin with Enigma.

Maybe Ill go back when they add a new Act.

i dont know if theyll ever add raids, but I want content that you struggle to complete with a full party. Something that requires strategy and planning.

How hard is it to keep a 22 year old game stable

I dropped it when they put in login queues. People were still losing things out of their bank then too. Idk if either has been fixed. Fuck that game and fuck Blizzard for being unable to give us an ancient game that isn't a broken mess.

Thankfully I prefer playing solo. Online issues related to multiplayer dont mean fuck to me anymore. Gonna try out a summon druid and hopefully the bowazon packs a punch now.

Windy Druid and Summonancer have always been my two favorite builds so I've been very curious to see if a summon Druid in particular is viable.

The main change to Druid summons is that you can have all of them at once now. The consensus seems to be that this will be a big boost, but not be enough on its own. Druid also won't have something like the Necro's amplify damage curse to help with physical immunes.

More likely this will be a big advantage to hybrid builds. My Windy Druid always gets a point in the bear summon to tank for me, and by the time you get into the late game with a bunch of +skills gear it winds up with like 10+ skill points. Being able to add the wolves, also with tons of +skills applied, to the mix will give the Druid a lot more protection and summon damage.

Old games are hard to maintain with today's technology. Vanilla Morrowind is unplayable with our newer OS and GPU. Remastered PS1 games are all glitchy and full of lag.

I would imagine summon druid would have to be a hybrid
You could always just have a wand for amp damage or else just use a merc with elemental damage

I think the biggest issue for me personally was the lack of crowd control
Having all wolves + bear might help but outside of shockwave in bear, there's nothing really that keeps the enemies from dog piling you or a summon and kill you/them fast.

Necro's 3 main curses: decrepify, dim vision and confusion/attract for crowd control work wonders and it's arguably why it's the only class that can do /players 8 naked without grinding to absurd levels

I have had like zero of the issues laid out here and I still play the game. I had the login queue thing for a little bit but it was never more than like a minute and haven't had one in months.

True that there is no end game though. After ubers you just endlessly do runs for better gear until you get bored.

I play offline with mods so *shrug*

right like Im supposed to kill Andy and Meph thousands of times just to get a slightly better MF percentage. To find more MF gear?

This is fun?

It's extremely satisfying knowing you've become God in this game.

Crowd control as a shape-shifter, you mean? I've only lightly experimented with those builds so I can't really speak to that, but that's always an issue with melee builds. At least with the windy druid, hurricane chills enemies and tornado does enough damage that the merc and bear are usually enough to avoid being swarmed.

Regardless, spirit wolf caps at five summons (at five skill points) and dire wolf caps at three (at three skill points). You can easily hit those thresholds with one actual skill point and +skills gears, plus another point for the bear- that's nine summons plus a merc. That's pretty comparable to what you're running with a Summonancer until you get pretty late in the game and as you said you rarely get into much trouble with mobs. I guess it depends on how tanky the wolves are since I've never used them past level 30, but it should be a solid buff to the class.
