My phone is currently my MP3 player and I transfer the files manually to it from my PC by clicking and dragging. Or at least this was my method on my old Windows 8 PC. I recently bought a new PC with Windows 11 and, upon trying to do this for the first time, find that I'm unable to do it. It simply won't transfer the files. No error message or anything. It just plays a little "ding" and stops the transfer. My phone is unlocked and allowing the file transfer. The PC recognizes the phone and the card and all the files on them. I even tried installing Samsung's USB driver at the suggestion of an article and no dice. I've tried other file types to see if it's just music and no, it's all files. Any help would be appreciated. I'm not looking for alternate methods, just a solution to this one.

EDIT: Now my PC isn't even recognizing files on the phone/card.

EDIT 2: Apparently yes it is actually but in the wrong folder.

First, restart both devices. Then Id check if you have enough space. Then try a different cable.

No dice, but thanks.

What DID work was taking the MicroSD card out of the phone and just putting the music directly on the card that way. It's less convenient but there are certainly even less convenient options out there so I'm glad I can do it this way.

Sorry for being a dinosaur and still not using streaming music.
