I've beaten DS3 and Bloodborne but it's been a long time and I just suck

I'm stuck on Margit, literally like 15 minutes into the game

I'm going to try to calm my adhd and sit down and play

what level are you at? have you leveled Vigor? what about spirit summons?

I've played for like 4 hours and never got to this boss lol

You can actually beat Margit pretty easily and without taking damage if you just learn all his moves and dont get hit

15 minutes into the game is a bit early to fight Margit

I think it's Patches, but he sells an item to make the fight a little easier.

You shouldn't be fighting Margit that quickly into the game. I explored most of Limgrave before I even saw Margit.

Here is your problem. Go explore. Dashing to him is the wrong play

also, there is a LOT of the map you can explore before going to Margit. try poking around the other areas and you should find upgrades that will help you considerably.

Margit is not the typical introductory boss, so go wander around and explore.

Also make sure you got the ability to level up before Margit. One of my friends ran straight to her and missed that so he fought her for hours as a level 1 wretched before finally getting her down...

This. I was level 20 when I bet Margit. He may be the 1st story boss but both he and the Tree Sentinel are the noob slayers.

Don't rush Margit. Take some time to explore Limgrave and the Weeping Peninsula. Level up a bit. His threat level falls off quickly once you've explored enough to unlock the Round Table and whatnot.

My god, guys. At the end of the day this game is still an RPG. When you meet a boss you can't beat then you simply grind until you get strong enough to beat the boss. This logic has not changed LOL. I swear this game makes people forget the simple things.

If you dont beat Margit below level 10 you are cheesing it and should feel tremendous shame as a gamer.

It took me a few tries, and I was a punch boi.
Jump attacks became my main strategy. And just blocking and dodging and baiting attacks on him.

Yeah, I should have explored and leveled more when I got walled off by him too, but I just kept throwing myself at him until I finally got him with my little knife. Took goddamn forever and I don't know how many tries.

Make sure you dig into the support options

like I had no idea how to use summoned NPCs when I first reached Margit

they draw aggro and make the fight a lot more manageable

also crafting projectiles (if youre not using a ranged class) can be very useful

The game was specifically designed to funnel people to Margit and then have that boss make people realize they need to go explore more before taking him on.

The progression for the game is supposed to be Limgrave and the Weeping Penninsula to the south before going to Stormveil Castle/Margit.

I was like 10 hours into the game before I beat him.

Seriously pretty sure the game expects you to be level 20-30 to beat him.
It's an open world game. Objective rushing is just gonna get your ass kicked because you know jack shit in spells, have shit stats, shit armor and shit weapons.

Roger that, he's definitely doable as I choked with him on 1hp twice already, but I'm going to run around and do more stuff.

Yeah Margit was pretty easy imho compared to the rest of the castle, those random shield knights and halberd knights destroyed me, and they respawn after every site of grace visit, so annoying. Nothing worse than running low on resources after exploring a bunch of the castle and then turning the corner into one of those fuckers

If you go around and explore you can potentially beat easier bosses while also gaining more abilities and runes to level up and getting better at understanding how the combat works.

Yes. But you shouldn't ignore him as he has a Talisman Pouch to increase the number of Talismans you can equip at the same time.

It can be beneficial though to bypass the castle long enough to rest at the Site of Grace just north of the walls. This causes the blonde lady that gives you the Jellyfish Ashes to go to the Round Table and become a Spirit Tuner(after you repeatedly talk to her and the blacksmith to convince her). Cranking a decent Spirit up several levels will see them clown the early game bosses.

About to roam a bit more, I need 2 more dex to use the big pokey sword I found
