To bad no one will even watch it because it's on a crappy streaming service, Peacock.

I'm glad I gave it a chance and I'm very surprised how the reimagined characters seem to work. On paper, it sounds like a recipe for disaster but the writing, dialogue, and acting make it all great. The story is your typical drama cliched you see a million times on "serious" shows like this, but this show makes it work. I'm honestly impressed and I think it's worth using your free trial over.

yea, I really enjoyed it.

the storylines were engaging, and I liked how the characters were reimagined.

initially, I thought that the stuff with Will's dad overstayed its welcome, but I think that the outcome paid off.

I actually would've preferred if they did more with Will's dad. I was expecting this huge thing it was being built up to, but all it was that Will's dad was in jail and everyone else lying about that. It's cliched, but like you I think the outcome had a good pay off because the show won't be the same as it once was. I'm really hoping for a season 2.

truu.

it ended up being that their unwillingness to talk about it with him was more damaging than anything else.

It's not a "good "show, really. There are too many intensely cheesy moments and predictable plot developments.

It is entertaining, though, and weirdly entrancing.

I watched the first episode with friends as a curiosity and was like "That kind of sucked. So anyway, onto episode 2." They all agreed, lol.

That was my first impression as well when hearing about the show and watching the first episode. Keep in mind that this show doesn't do anything new but what it does... it does a really good job at it imo. I'll honestly just say give at least the first 2-3 episodes a try and if it ain't your cup of tea then more power to ya.

Isn't it basically a 90's sitcom?

I enjoyed the first episode, but I decided to wait until the season finished. That way I only have to pay for 1 month of Peacock's premium subscription, instead of paying for 3 months to watch it every week.

He definitely has the best character development in the whole show from start to finish. Second I would put it would be Phil him dropping out of the race in episode 7 was a big one.

It probably would get more discussion if it was released on Netflix.
