Just a few people that aren't on-board with calling them by "they/them" pronouns. "Why are we speaking about one person as if they are a collective?"

One pharmacist is annoyed that they get upset when people call them "she/her" and said "If you're going to be confident enough to be yourself in public, then you can't be bothered by mistakes". It seems she took exception to this co-worker getting their pronouns put on their nametag to reduce misgendering.

It's like those older liberals that call themselves open-minded until they're faced with anything new.

I'm often very upset by what others prefer to be called. There's this one person at work that's a real demanding piece of shit. He insists everyone call him Steven.

Fuck you, your name is Steve you pretentious asshole! I was in little league with you when we were kids and you were Steve then and you'll always be that. You can't just change it.

This argument never makes sense given that the word they has historically been used to refer to one person. "Someone is going to help us and they're on their way here now" or "The champion of tennis says that they're retiring" etc

I've used the non-pleural "they" to describe individuals since childhood. I'm not sure why it's so hard to accept that some people want to use it as their pronoun.

Of course this is true, along with the fact that it isn't worth a fuck of discussing either if one person is indifferent about the whole thing or is also okay with it.

Only ignorant jerkoffs seem to cry hardest about pronouns because that's essentially acceptance, which they don't do.
