I mean, technically I must have had one by, like, cullinary accident or something... but I can't recall ever eating anything with lentils in it. Which is weird cuz here in Canada we have, like, ALL the lentil farms --- "Salt cures Everything!" My YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/Nirakolov/videos ... Copied to Clipboard!

MagicalPrincess posted... I love Lentil soup. Progresso's is really good. mmm, that does look thick and gravious... As someone who doesn't like beans in soup (or chili) cuz they taste like thick starch, I think little tiny lentiles might solve that. --- "Salt cures Everything!" Costco has Tasty Bite Madras Lentils on sale right now. I highly recommend it! https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/7/3/9/AAQwHjAADEeD.jpg Lentils, red beans, and spices in a creamy tomato sauce. Tastes a bit like chili. It's lactovegetarian (contains cream), organic, gluten-free and Kosher. It's really good over rice or with toasted naan bread. --- Minutus cantorum, minutus balorum, Minutus carborata descendum pantorum. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Lentils are commonly farmed where I live. They're a good filler for soup and if you're a vegetarian or vegan, they can be used as a really good ingredient in a beef alternative, so you can make faux burgers/meatloaf out of them and they actually do a really good job at it (and they're not greasy like meat, so I've met people who are not vegetarians/vegans who use them this way). I've also seen them used in salads, burritos, stuffed into peppers, used in dips, and marinated. Try out a soup first, and if you like it, maybe a salad or a burrito. If you like to cook, definitely try making a patty or loaf with them; if you can find a good recipe, they can be really nice. --- Hi ... Copied to Clipboard!
