Ive barely watched any gameplay other than those crazy trickshots some do. Know some basic stuff but not much other than a non linear open world to explore.

Hope the money is worth it.

Metroid Dread was worth it, just beat it on Hard.

Don't cheat and look anything up. Talk to NPCs for hints.

second best zelda game, majoras mask is still better

I hope you like the vibe. People can be critical about it and say that it's too open and aimless to the point that it's a boring slog. I think it's an amazing game with an immaculate aesthetic, and I enjoy the peace and calm of the overworld.

Why was it bad? Imo it was great. The critique I have is less menorable music and distictive looking areas. Other than that a top tier 2D Metroid for sure.

Metroid Dread was great, but not a $60 game.

That being said, I played Super Metroid right before, and I think it actually surpasses Super Metroid.

You played Metroid Dread on hard? Then you'll love Breath of the Wild on Master Mode.

No matter what anyone says, don't play Master Mode. Especially for your first run. Master Mode really limits the amount of useful items for combat. It basically forces you to use the high level weapons from those stupid balloon platforms they inserted everywhere. Discourages creativity in combat.

I died. Wanted to see what happens if I dropped a red barrel in fire.

I think Im gonna enjoy this.

It wasnt too hard on hard really. I may try dread mode later.

Unless you get truly stumped by a particular Shrine puzzle, you should be able to get through the game perfectly fine without any guides / outside help. And I guarantee you'll enjoy it more if you explore at your own pace and don't consult guides.

This. My favorite part of the game was just climbing and hiking around the world. Seeing what I could discover. Very relaxing. The physics/tablet powers allow you to think of ways to complete shines in unintended ways.

Chocolate bars are tasty, but I have put waaaaaay more time into eating a cake, it's way better.

I played a bit yesterday, first time Ive felt exploring be this fun in a long time.

Enjoy it. I'll never get that beginning feeling if exploring and beating the game again. It truly is magical. Go as far as you can without a guide, but it's no biggie if you do on some areas.

Oh, I wasn't referring to any shrine in particular; just generally speaking if TC ends up getting stumped on one.

Yeah walking small platforms in the shrines just to have my drift walk me off them is what made me finally invest in a pro controller.

Actually this topic reminds me of some other topic I saw about the Wii U store shutting down? I should buy the dlc asap if its still available.

Master Mode isn't that bad. Except for the final boss fight, which is excruciating in Master Mode. That said, it's certainly not a good idea to play it the first time through.

I pretend my Link is very shaky when aiming >_>. But the motion controls help a lot with the drifting joycon.

Ive done the Plateu, didnt head for Kokoriko village, instead Im looking around, beat a shrine and gonna do a combat shrine I found next.

Loving this game already.

I had to turn those damn motion controls off. I couldn't aim my bow for shit. They are still required for a couple shrines which is fine.

Game was honestly amazing when I played it. Could it have been improved, absolutely. But it was still a ton of fun just exploring around. There's something really engaging about being left to your own devices to find shit instead of chasing down map markers.

Yup. I think for speedrunners and people doing trickshots and stuff the motion controls are definitely superior. But I tried them as well and couldn't get used to it.

First game since ever that has made me feel like a kid again.

Exloring woods, playing around with imagination.

Learning more about the world, mechanics etc so organically, just going with the flow.
