My father and I had a talk yesterday because my parents are leaving me with our childhood home after they pass on. After some suggestions, I will most likely turn the house in an AirBnb (its a quiet neighborhood near the beach and a resort/casino). I like the house but I dont really want to live there. My wife is getting her childhood home in a similar deal and we will most likely live there when the time comes. What plans would you guys have if you had an extra place?

Only second house I want is a summer house in Europe. So if I somehow came into one I'd probably sell it and put the money toward that.

ideally, i'd like a 'vacation home' next to a small lake, or in the forest somewhere. i place where i could go like 1-3 weekends a month to just chill tf out.

i'd consider renting it out via AirBnB, VRBO, etc, depending on how much the upkeep was.

Unless I'm rich, live in one and sell the other.

Some CE users would think that keeping the house would be a crime

My parents are likely to be in that situation when my grandma passes. They're probably going to try to buy my aunt's portion and use it as a vacation home.

If I ever inherit it, I'd either just rent it out or sell it. I don't really need or want a home in the Pittsburgh area.

Probably sell it... Depends on what my life is like... I don't even own one house lol.

Probably rent it out or just keep it in memory? (Assuming I get my family house and another.)
