if a dude has a breakdown after holding shit back for way too long and cries i'm not judging that. sometimes all that has to come out.

but anybody, male or female, who just breaks down and cries all the time over the dumbest shit, i do lose respect for that. toughen the fuck up a little. the world doesn't make time for full grown babies.

Last time I cried was the day I brought my new puppies home. I had one of them out to potty and a hawk swooped down, grabbed her, but miraculously lost hold of her and I was able to get to her. She wasn't hurt beyond a small scratch, but I won't ever deny that once I got her back inside I held her and cried like a bitch for like ten minutes. That shit was traumatic.

I grew up around masculine men tho, so I get how it can feel. I probably cry less cause of it. But luckily, my guy Lyfe Jennings was hitting me with them facts when I was like 17. I think this song really guides my perspective on men crying.

On the subject, though, I've noticed myself becoming a lot more sentimental as I've grown older. I used to cry for especially sad moments in movies or TV shows. Stuff like the Futurama dog episode, certain deaths in certain anime, etc.

But nowadays I find myself tearing up more often. Even when things are positive, I might have a moment just because of how relieved I am that things worked out for the characters. It's nice to have a full range of emotions, and no shame with regard to their expression.
