They're flooding my recommendations with stupid shit. I basically only watch MxR Plays, GrayStillPlays, Moopoke, and Ryan George. Not interested should remove them more completely than don't recommend channel, since the second option would only affect that one channel, while the first option would, in theory, tell YouTube's algorithm (assuming it works) that you have no interest in that kind of video. --- "Socialism is when the government does stuff, and it's more socialism the more stuff it does, and when it does a real lot of stuff, that's communism!" ... Yeah, seems like it can only hide things. "Hide YouTube related videos, comments, shorts tab, suggestions wall, homepage recommendations, trending, and other distractions."
