I have ever since the pandemic, it was nerve-wracking the first couple times but now I'm used to doing it. Only hard part is reaching the back to line myself up lol

Yeah back in 2012 I looked up how to cut hair on YouTube and just started on myself with a good pair of scissors, never looked back.

Yeah, taught myself in the Army because I got tired of paying for a haircut that took 3 minutes. I've done it ever since.

Yeah I started in the pandemic.

I used to cut my own bangs in high school.

Goodness, no. I only go to a real salon.

Its one of my only things I routinely do for myself, though. Besides, I cut out a bunch of other vices.

Technically, I cut hair every time I shave. :o

...But, for non-facial head hair, no. Haven't had a haircut of any kind in years, actually.

Not a full one but one time after getting my hair cut I noticed the barber didn't cut the back at all leaving me with a mullet. So I took some scissors and took care of the back myself.

Funny you say go to a real salon, I always use to go to salons (thats what my mom always took me to growing up). Then in college went to a barbershop, much better for my styling.

But I cut my own hair occasionally and its always way better than any professional does. Im particular for styling and they just always mess something up, whether it be the sides too long or short compared to the top, the lines too high or not enough, sideburns too high, uneven, etc. Ive probably gone to 50 different places over the last decade too. Cant ever find that just right place, I often go home and fix-it-up myself though. Still tip and pay too much feeling like I wasted moneyeasier than doing most of it myself though.

Grown it out over the last year though, somehow it still got fucked up when I went for a trim.

I did it once. It turned out awfully.

If you got a nice looking skull, a head shave can still look glam.

I did a few ill-advised trims between haircuts back in college.

I actually go to the same stylist that my mom does. I used to have short hair and eventually it grew like 2.5 feet long and I got her recommend me a place. I was used to regular barber shops, but a full salon is better equipped to take care of my hair, personally. They also have a really good (but very expensive) color bar, which I usually use twice per year.

I'm surprised so many still do, that's awesome. "Are millennials killing barber shops?"

I hardly use scissors, really only clippers. My scissors are awfully dull too so that doesn't help lol

Yes, been doing it for years. My local barbershop was going downhill. High prices and very slow haircuts. So I decided to cut my own hair.

It used to take me a while to do because of the cheap clippers I was using, but last year I bought some quality clippers that have height guards. Takes a few minutes to get my hair back down to 1/4" height. Then I carefully do the line up (because that's the only part that's possible to mess up with these clippers).

A few times. But jusy using clippers to buzz ot all off. I wouldn't really consider that though. It doesn't require any sort of skill.

I do! When my hair gets too long I trim off at least a couple of inches, it's not perfect but I usually wear my hair up in a ponytail anyway so nobody can tell

No, but I want to try. I'm sure I could give myself a haircut I like better than the ones I pay for.

I regularly shave my own hair. I'm going bald anyway so no reason to bother paying for haircuts.
