Every encounter can be a chase sequence unless you got a big club to smash your enemies.

Not a lot of jump scares. There are a few ambushes though

It's great. I'm having loads of fun. There's are some enemies that does hide well(and many that does not hide well) and come at you either from bushes or from the ceiling. Not really that scary since you're kinda badass yourself.

The game isn't too scary but there's a lot of running around in the dark.

Still playing it. Idk what else to play atm. Plus i think combat is pretty fun.

It is a 9/10 game to me. If it wasnt as scary and had better soundtrack itd be 10/10. Sometimes it does seem like a horror game to me. There is a forest that has these titan sized monsters that talk in gibberish. Creepy af

It's good but I'm 50 hours in and it's not a 98 on metacritic game. It's got some clunky combat and targeting, wacky inventory sorting, and some minor inconveniences like not being able to compare equipment in a shop to inventory equipped. Something like a quest notebook would be useful too. I'm not saying something to tell you where to go, but just some kind of dialogue transcription. Just for convenience sake. The game leaves out features that are absolutely not necessary to be removed for "the experience's" sake.

It's still a great game, maybe even GotY, but it's far from being the best game ever as people are claiming.

Hmm, since Vegy is touching on the subject, compared to the Dark Souls games, how creepy is this one? The dark souls games are literally 2spooky4me and I find myself unable to continue playing them.

Really not that spooky, a lot of the game takes place in open fields. Demons Souls was the peak of spookiness imo.
