I usually make 2 boxes at once with half the butter and that's still a lot of butter. Do people really use the recommended 4 tbsp of butter per box?

I don't really measure it, just kind of eyeball it and use intuition. I probably use like half of that though if I had to guess. I always start light and add small amounts until I get the desired consistency. I think when I first started cooking stuff myself that was one of the first things I learned how to "cook" and I did actually follow the instructions exactly but it came out very thin and runny which I'm not a fan of.

I just carve a big hunk of butter off the pound and put it in. I don't measure it, but it's sure as fuck more than 4 tbsp

I just use a 4 pack

I only use two

0 now, I'm trying to cut out saturated fats and cholesterol from my diet so I'm not making it anymore. >_>

I just scrape a random amount of margarine with my knife or the spatula I'm stirring with. On average I'd say it's about 1 tbsp. Sometimes I don't use any at all (if it's plain). Creamier types require it, and the milk.

Yes but I take the whole thing out and put it in a butter dish. Keeping it in the fridge at all times makes it hard to spread on toast

Da kind with da gooey cheese sauce is infinitely superior to da powered cheese kind. I used to eat way too much of dat crap(da former).

Hm I don't buy Macaroni that has recipes on it but I probably use way too much butter.

Kraft used to say 4 but now I think it says 1 lmao also they used to suggest whole milk and now its skim milk

The regular box of Mac calls for 1 quarter cup of milk and 4 tbsp of butter. It's not fake.

Oh and this cooking time is always wrong. This will overcook the noodles. 5-6min tops.

It use to say half cup which is 8 tblspoons

We buy the cauliflower Kraft Mac which calls for only 3 tbsp

usually Ill cut the butter to 2 tbsp and add a bunch of freshly shredded sharp cheddar

sidenote: the cauliflower version tastes exactly the same as original so Id recommend it due to being slightly healthier

I never liked the craft Mac n Cheese. That said, if the instructions say 4 tbsp of margarine, then that's how much I add. Half a stick of margarine really isn't that bad, unless you plan on eating the whole box worth in one sitting.
