19 y/o Wyatt Miller from La Ronge, Saskatchewan, Canada was a former high school quarterback (yes, there is football in Canada) who took up SEWING during the pandemic after he was in lockdown for nearly 2 years and has now launched his own clothing line..despite trolls now calling him a WUSSY and GRANDMA for his passion!!

He spent most of his life focused on sports and football was definitely going to be part of that..until the pandemic hit and sports was basically cancelled at this final years of high school..

So she discovered people making clothing on tiktok and inspired to do it himself and launched his own brand "Sparked Apparel" that he runs out of his basement and sells on instagram

He knew how to sew already since 9th grade Home Ec class where cooking and sewing were mandatory for junior high students.

With the basics down he tried his hand at making a shirt and documented it on his tiktok as people were impressed by his skills. When his Mom asked what he wanted for christmas, he asked for a $100 sewing machine so he could make all his clothes instead"

He also works part time cleaning a hospital and taught himself how to sew clothes now and selling to people online.

Unfortunately, since sewing is now his career path, football is now over for him and sports in general and that didn't go so well for male trolls online who called him a wuss and a grandma getting involved in a "girl's job"

He hopes in the next few years he can sign a lease and open a storefront locally and would be awesome if a big name star like Justin Bieber would wear his clothing.

He's now going to FASHION DESIGN school and knows most of the people there will be girls but says it will at least be easy to get a DATE.

Do you think guys who take up sewing make them a wuss?

Ridiculous. Im the most violent, hyper masculine juggernaut to ever don a fedora and I cant tell you how many times Ive had to ask people to sew things for me. Valuable skill to have.

Learning how to sew is actually something everyone should learn, so you can mend simple tears and put buttons back on.

There's an NFL player who sews - actually crochets, IIRC. Says it's relaxing. No beef from me.

Hell no. Nothing but respect for people who take up the tailoring craft.

Absolutely everyone ought to know how to do a button or zipper. That skill has saved my ass twice. Hemming and seams are trickier and I could use to learn that but buttons and zippers are a must.

Can't speak on the fashion (not that I have any credentials to weigh in), but the most I can do is reattach a button to a coat. Kudos to the lad.

sewing isn't girly. if i had the skill i would learn it myself. could even repair holes in my pants to make em last longer.

It never fails to blow my mind how guys who spend their free time showering together after running around a field in festive spandex playing grab ass for a few hours are going to be on a high horse talking about what's sissyish.

Not that there's anything wrong with "sissy" things, point is take a good look at your own activities before labeling another one as "sissy" or "gay".
