She is gone from the church, but her items and ashes are purchasable from the twin statue at the round table and more importantly:

1. (Optional) Talk to "Renna" (Ranni) at the Church of Elleh
2. Conquer Caria Manor in north Liurnia
3. Speak to Ranni in her tower behind Caria Manor
4. (Optional) Speak to Blaidd in Siofra River Bank

You meet her and learn more about her later in the lakes region, talking to her at the church should not affect that.

In my previous file I already dropped the barrier around her tower. If you don't talk to her at the church or lakes before the roundtable she doesn't appear in the tower.

well fuck it all, I might be screwed then as well... I went and read about that because I was worried something like that might happen when I couldn't get the summoning bell.

the weapon that locks you out of would annoy me to miss

The first time I ever saw Renna was past Carian at her tower. I never met her at the church of elle or anything

I did see her before beating the academy boss if that matters

I am reading a lot of different things on reddit, one person mentioned she isnt in the tower with the magical force field but another... Im going to head over there now and see whats up since I missed her originally.

Others mentioned having to get absolution or kill a certain boss to get her to appear.

this is what i was talking about earlier. no reason the quests should still be so dysfunctional, prone to breaking, and obfuscated like what you guys are trying to figure out. shouldn't need a damn wiki for everything

the justification like that just says blind fanboyism to me. it's not a mystery, it's just a pain in the ass. oops, maybe next playthrough. next time keep the wiki open

Okay, that was a bit of a cluster. I had the grace there already, so I warped over and rode around checking the area out.

I got a great enemy felled message without even knowing I was fighting anything, didnt receive anything. I closed out the game but apparently not fast enough and now I have no idea what I was supposed to have killed and didnt get any loot.

After beating Margit I went to the Roundtable and a bunch of doors were now open so I decided to explore. Went into a big room and jumped down only to be invaded by an NPC and died. I made it my fucking life's mission to earn those runes back and I finally did after a few tries.

it's okay to not enjoy things that other people enjoy. Different strokes, etc. It's fine.

Well, I got 12k souls. But for some enemies, world bosses, the items are just given to you when something dies. Nothing like that popped up.

seems like magic in general is really good aside from a few stinker spells that make no sense. the sheer amount of incantations is nuts

As a Faith user, I've gotten many more INT spells than FTH but YMMV. My best spell is called Flame of Frenzy and you shoot fire lasers out of your eyes all in front of you. Decent crowd control. Besides that I mainly use my faith to cast the holy weapon spell and add damage, I guess I'm more of a paladin than a cleric.

Carrion Slicer is fucking OP. If it could backstab it would be game over for all these mfers.

My map just extended even freaking more.

I want to start a new character just to see how early you can get Radagons Soreseal since I think thats gonna be the best amulet in the game.

Well blazed through the manor and beat the boss, Ranni was there like she was supposed to be even though I didnt meet her at the church.

Kinda worried about what great foe I supposedly killed though.

I use RT/LT mostly. If you hold them you hold your weapon out and do damage as you're grazing past the enemy. It's a lot easier than timing the light attack hits and you can hit multiple enemies in one go. You can get 3 or 4 hits in on a big enemy this way if you circle around them, then dash away when they're rearing up an attack.

Oh, fuck me, that's why that didn't seem to be doing much damage lol. I thought it was the same as fighting on foot, so I was "charging" the attack and trying to hit the enemy just as it ran out. I finally gave up on it because my charge attack was doing comparable damage to the quick pne.

Using the lone wolves almost feels like cheating, but its fun to let them go with a bunch of enemies around.

Love how generous the game is with stamina.

I made a booboo. I've been told I should invest in other means other than just swinging a sword(and my crossbow) and I didn't think that was necessary and well problem is, I'm lvl 38 and I didn't put a single point in FP v.v. Is there any decent place to get xp?(where I won't immediately die? I tried going through the first legacy dungeon but some of the enemies are too much for me lol..I mean, I beat the first shard barer but I can't beat his minions...I feel shamed...)

im going way slower than most people here but thats just how i play open world games tbh. took out godrick and now i'm heading into caelid.

I love this game a fuckton so far. the only problem i have atm is that the game feels very not-generous to drops compared to previous entries. it took me seriously like 20 minutes of grinding in that dude filled courtyard in stormveil to get the exile armor. i also havent found any way to increase item discovery other than crows feet, though maybe ive just missed it
