I wish you well on improving your understanding of the situation and finally being able to see the true danger of these laws. As I have said for years, it's never just about one thing or another. It's always about bigots pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable. If they go too far, they back off just enough to find a lesser version that's just socially acceptable enough that they can erode our rights. And then the next time they push for whatever they originally targeted, it'll seem that much less extreme in comparison. They'll inch their way to their end goal by slowly dehumanizing us in law, even though the entire time they had been ranting loudly about how much they hate all of us even existing. It's why we must never let them get any victories on trans rights. The only people who have had long term issues from it were people who started it by the age of 10 and didn't start HRT until they were 16. And that's fallen out of style because doctors realized the issue. I dont think the bill is motivated by hate as much as a concern our society is moving too fast with a record number of minors now transitioning. It seems theres also a factual dispute as to whether puberty blockers cause permanent sterilization that needs to be discussed, and a debate about whether a minor can really give informed consent. Ordering the state to investigate parents of trans kids for child abuse definitely goes too far though. Do you have a link to the "record numbers"?
