It was in the works for over 3 years, so Bandai Namco was working on it before ReArise even came out. That likely means that they just used ReArise as a cash grab that they had no intention of supporting. Was it Vegy who simped for this game? Its just that Bamco has a bad reputation when it comes to shutting down its games. I will, however, say that Crestorias story was interesting, to say the least. The main characters dad is a priest I think who runs an orphanage and seems so nice. But then you find out that hes secretly selling the boys off for slave labor or body part and the girls to be sex slaves. Then the MC finds out because his childhood friend is about to be sold and he kills his dad to protect her. While it admittedly had some gameplay flaws that understandably pushed alot of folks away, it was the story and characters that kept me playing ReArise until the end. I'm genuinely going to miss the cast of fellow Tamers and their respective Partners. And I won't even bother with Digimon New Generation. Ironically, the number of "use a Rookie/Champion/Ultimate" missions increased instead, so in a roundabout way they still wanted people to keep around under-evolved (but not under-leveled) mons for missions.
