42 y/o Alberta Native, Evangeline Lilly has a word or 2 for Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau..that he should have a word or 2 with the striking truckers and begs him to talk to the 2.3 million who she says are GOOD PEOPLE!!

The "Ant-Man" star went in hard on the PM telling the Bridge City News "Why won't you sit with them? They have asked to meet with you, Prime Minister, medical experts, top scientists, doctors, nurses, parents, grandparents, intelligent, loving, concerned citizens? If you're so convinced of your own reasons for the mandates, sit down and walk the leaders of a group of 2.3 million protesters across the country who represent many millions more across the nation, explain it to them and ask them to listen with open hearts and minds and then reciprocate. Listen to what they have to say with a mind open to hearing things that might go against the ideas you are entrenched in. These are 2.3 million good people you are ignoring and they have a right to be heard"

Trudeau has shown zero tolerance for the truckers who protested under the banner of the "Freedom Convoy" after they blocked key borders with the US largely protesting mandates before upping their demands to a resignation and in a bid to destroy the economy and its resources in the process which prompted Trudeau to invoke the Emergency Act after 3 weeks.

Lilly has long been opposed to mandates who continued "You unify people by finding solutions together, not by vilifying those who say there is a better way. What we need right now from our leadership is unification and that requires being wiling to see, recognize and hear from the people sitting out in the cold at your door"

Lilly is also anti-vax who doesn't believe in vaccines and describes herself in the vain of Robert Kennedy Democrats who oppose vaccines and mandates as she wants her freedom. She describes herself as "pro-choice" and that is why she attended the rally against mandates earlier this month

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh confirmed today that he does not want an election and will support the government to pass the emergencies act but said it was an important bill to pass to stop the illegal protest and freeze bank accounts from foreign countries donating to the cause and to stop their activity that has put a stranglehold on Ottawa.

Disney has made it clear that all actors and actresses have to be vaccinated as Lilly and Letitia Wright are walking on thin ice and could be forced out in future projects after they completed their roles

Beyond what happens to Lilly's hollywood career after Ant-Man 3 remains to be seen and whether or not these comments will hurt her

Why do so many people think these protesters have anything to say that everyone doesn't already know? They want to make their own choices based on their own research and beliefs about what impact that will have on the public, without facing any consequences for those choices. It's not exactly a complicated position. It's also not exactly a position that is in any way worth considering against the opinions of doctors and scientists whose research has come from neither Facebook nor Youtube, as they are infinitely more knowledgeable and qualified to advise the government on matters of public health. They have nothing of value to say; this is nothing more than an oversized tantrum because everyone in power has treated them accordingly.

I'd argue they've been treated better then any other group of protesters in the history of the nation; they have set a new standard for how protestors are to be treated in this country, so silver lining.

Just because the conservative media is calling for an election (and has been since the last one) doesn't mean it's going to happen anytime soon. The Conservatives don't have a leader and the only party that has any cash in the election coffers is the Liberals.

We'll see, they could do what was done with Army of the Dead and All the Money in the World and just reshoot her scenes. It will depend on how far she takes it and what the House of Mouse lawyers advise. If she continues on with the "Minority (government) leader of a Liberal Democracy is a Dictator! We are living in Tyranny!" they may decide the cost to reshoot her scenes is less then the potential loss at the box office because people are sick of her shit.

Throughout this whole thing, I've made a point of trying to keep an open mind and believe that the literal Nazis and those assaulting people and trying to burn down apartment buildings are not necessarily representative of the entire protest. I'm sure a good many of them have not participated in any of the more deplorable behaviour (though they also didn't kick out the Nazis, which is itself pretty deplorable), and characterizing the entire protest as being a bunch of violent Nazis to discredit it is no better than similarly characterizing all the BLM protests as riotous vandalism to discredit them.

That said, this is fundamentally a terrorist act: The core goal of this protest was to force political change by disrupting the economy and supply chains to enough of an extent to cause a logistical crisis. That is, by definition, terrorism. When it turned out (to the surprise of nobody outside of the convoy) that the convoy did not, as they hoped, end up being large enough for the simple act of striking to have an appreciable economic impact, they instead forcibly occupied a chunk of Ottawa and tried to use the threat of making citizens' lives miserable as leverage, as well as resorting to forcibly blockading border crossings. Those are also terrorist acts, committed well within the core mandate of the protest, and that means nobody involved can really claim to be peacefully protesting.

By contrast, while burning stuff down to stop police violence is also a terrorist act, that was entirely ancillary to the core approach of every BLM protest. The vast, vast majority of BLM protesters protested with no intent to cause any harm, and those organizing the protests did not plan for anything more than simply making the message heard. That's the fundamental difference here, and why it's valid to say that the BLM protests were mostly peaceful and that this one is not. That some BLM protesters chose to be violent at a small handful of protests (remember, 97% were completely peaceful) doesn't change that.
