...are not completed and have no current plans of being completed.

Its one of the main reasons I am hesitant to start new(to me) shows.

Too many canceled shows divided up by too many networks

If a network is 100% sure they wont revive something, then why not add it to its respective streaming service

I use https://www.pogdesign.co.uk/cat/ and have used it for over a decade now, maybe closer to 15 years.

That and if you go too far back, then the hurdles of lost media may come into play, where some aired episodes if not most of them are lost even by the networks.

...wait, so you want streaming platforms to show that info? Keep in mind cancellations are tricky for anything relatively recent. If a show goes 3 years without a new season -- and it's not an anime -- you can assume it's canceled. Other times shows can be canceled, picked up by another network, canceled, and picked up by a third network.

Plus the end points for canceled shows can vary, depending on when the cancelation happened. Some shows have seasons with normal conclusions even though the show is meant to continue. Other shows are canceled early enough into a season where the last episode wraps up the current storylines and gives it a finished feeling.

Unless there's a cliffhanger or major unresolved element, a lot of shows are bearable. Fucking Reaper, on the other hand, left us with a shit ton of stuff. I should look up to see what the plans were.

I believe the implication is that Netflix is going to cancel it before it finishes; Netflix is therefore "the list of unfinished cancelled shows."
