I have no idea why I watched them, but here we are

Its a pretty weak franchise tbh but the wacky ways they kill off everyone makes the series a fun watch. Kind of funny it started out as a pitch for an X-Files episode

5 > 1 > 2 > 4 > 3

5 is a genuinely decent horror flick with solid performances (by horror movie standards)

3 does not do enough to stand out one way or the other, but the opening roller coaster scene is hilarious

4 completely leans into this bonkers, corny, dumbass angle that makes it very enjoyable to hate watch but is by far the worst movie of the series. I put it over 3 though because I would rather watch something thats absolutely dog shit but in an enjoyable way over something that just stays in the middle of the road

1 and 2 are take or leave tbh, but are of better quality than 4. Making 2 a direct sequel to 1 was an interesting choice. 1 gets bumped up for being what started it off

Hope they make another one of these. I think they were actually working on one pre pandemic but has since been put on ice. Oh well

I love that series but yeah the 3rd and 4th one arent great. I watched the 2nd one right around when I started driving and I was too afraid to go on the highway for like 4 years

and no mention of 5 being a prequel? >_>

I know that they are making a new film from the eyes of the first responders. Police, Fireman, and EMTs whose every decision when they arrive to these odd deaths can start a chain of events that leads to someone elses death.

I heard a quote something along the lines of

we as society rely on the good judgements of first responders to save lives, so what happens if these first responders are aware that they are stuck in this death loop where each of their actions to help save these people stuck in these crazy situations can actually lead to their deaths

Its an HBO Max series I think.
