Trying to rearrange my garage and theres one outlet, its a GFCI, and the chest freezer is currently plugged into it but I want to move it to another wall, only way to make that work is with an extension cord but idk if that would be fine

I have one of those heavy duty outdoor cords if that changes the answer at all

Should be. Just check on it from time to time in case it trips though it really shouldn't.

your extension cord needs to have the proper gauge for the distance and load. so long as that is proper, its fine to plug one into a GFCI.
