The first time I watched the season 1 I was decently hooked. I then watched it a second time with the intention of watching season 2. And just...couldn't finish season 1 again. The plot got really dicey as they revealed the grand mystery but they reeled it back in a bit. That whole, "I don't care if the odds are insurmountable I'm gonna bruteforce my way to victory because I'm special," attitude that seems prevalent in anime aimed at young boys is beyond cringy to me. I just couldn't do it.
