Trust me, I know. On some levels, I am also anti-mandate... but this is just such a ridiculous thing to fight so hard against. It's one thing to have misgivings and keep a close eye on future mandates and medical treatments... but that's not what it is. It's blatant anti-vaxx shit disguised as conscientious objecting. All those crazy anti-vaxx social media posts aren't made up. Some of them literally come from my own relatives, who care so much about defying the Democrats that they refuse to get vaccinated and literally call the doctors communists for trying to encourage them to get a vaccine.

It's absurd, and it's real. I see it in my own family and friends.

You know, funny thing, I'm the exact opposite. Every single time I run a mandate (that impacts me or that's local) through in my head, I'm like, "Uhhhh, I support it." But I have nothing against opposition, I simply abhor the tone deaf messaging by the government as a whole. Only Andrew Cuomo ever got it right... the bastard.
