Now they're saying that the best they can do is a 50% refund.

Yeah, I use a credit card for almost everything I can.

Capital One has credited my account and given them a chargeback. They sent me some paperwork to fill out. I've got all the screenshots and stuff... They just didn't say how to send them the documents back, so I'm calling them now.

shit like this makes me buy less and less stuff from the internet. there are just so many scams out there, the "convenience" is almost not worth the hassle or risk.

I find model kits and nick Nak items like the TC's globes to always be the worst to try and order. I am at the point where if I am not ordering from a direct listed distributor/creator of the item, I don't do it. Way too easy to get a counterfeit or knockoff brand and not the correct brand, even if the seller shows the original correct brand as being what they are selling.

Yeah, my normal procedure is to try to find the item on Amazon, but I couldn't... I figured these would be really great to have on display in the house. Oh well.

Capital One actually just said to not worry about returning the documents unless the merchant disputes the claim. I'll just keep the documents in my cloud storage.
