Isn't it sadder for anybody in their late 20's early 30's or whatever to not be in a relationship? I know relationship is hardly an end all be all but it honestly is difficult to get through some parts of life without knowing somebody is there for you and you only and vice versa.

Considering they were rumored to be with another like 2-3 years prior, it sounds like a solid relationship, and the detractors should be ashamed of themselves.

Apparently that person who was false alarmed to be dating is a "GirlFriendExperience" vtuber so the facade of purity and singleness is very important to their brand.

I might sound kind of heartless here but she played with fire and got burned. When you want, cultivate, enable and rake in 3 million dollars in superchats out of that kind of fanbase, you can't be surprised when this kind of thing happens if info like that comes out, even if it ends up not being totally true in the end. Let it be a warning to any future girls who want to make the same kind of content.

I mean it wasn't all there was to her content. She gets clipped a lot for the more yandere type of tendencies, but she had equal level of viewership for her crazy rage moments.

If anything, her hardcore fans should have been mad that she had flings with the likes of Tamaki or Marine. The character itself isn't going out with that guy. It's her actress, and it's really the fault of the crazy viewers that forget that.

I feel like there are just a lot of double standards going around. Speaking of Tamaki, his actress got married, but all of his fans were able to separate the two. That's called a healthy viewership

Pretty much.

Yes, she went hard on the "girl friend experience", what with stalking fans and some of her merch, but that's the character and not the person behind it. Even the big spenders should realise their "girlfriend" was the character (who they were sharing with who knows how many other thousands of people) and the actress is her own person they have no connection to.

It does show the dangers of the parasocial relationship though and the risks of catering to that fanbase, but she doesn't deserve any of the hate she's getting. People should realise and be able to separate the two individuals.

Yeah to be fair, rushia's merch included stuff like marriage rings and couples mugs, she also went hard on the late night lonely tweets. I mean, i'm all for her having a significant other, and RPing hard with her vtuber persona, but some blowback isn't unexpected when this happens.

As somebody who thinks the best content the gang makes is when they're happy and enjoying themselves it's only logical to hope that carries over to the people behind the avatar as well (even if it gets weirdly uncomfortable to think about the avatar being -more- of an act as opposed to just an alternative to facecam with some Lore flavoring on top).

No amount of drama is going to make me stop throwing 5$ shitposts to try to get a laugh out of the dorks while the option is available, regardless.

yeah this is the other thing, I have seen a lot more people worried about negativity and people hating on fans who now hate her than I have actually seen any of those fans <_<

It's the idol culture. Even if they don't care a decent portion of those following it will bandwagon on hate trains despite knowing nothing about it. But yeah, it luckily seems to be a small part of her fanbase screaming loudly.

How so?

Sadly there are screenshots of detractors who are basically feeling "betrayed" or whatever. They're small, but we already know how a small fanbase (like China's) can cause an absolute chaos. Sadly macros are more powerful than a sizable amount of people.

If you think about it, if somebody was as hooked to a person as they were to Rushia enough to pay monthly to her and send in exorbitant sums in superchats regularly, they are most likely dedicated enough to spend a majority of their time harassing the same person for what in their eye is the worst offense that person to commit to them.

The amount of people doesn't really matter here I think. Once the deed is done, no amount of positivity posts will stop the simps.

There was a post on virtualyoutuber subreddit about how people should stop making Rushia support posts 24/7 because it's getting out of hand, and I agree with it. She honestly hasn't streamed in a week by now so it's not like we know what sort of treatment she will get if she comes back.

Also I really don't think time will solve anything and she should just come back. These people are mentally deranged, and from being deranged myself, I know time heals very little of that

I think it's more that EN fans are constantly drawing attention to it via the public outpouring of support, and Rushia would likely rather this all just goes away. Neither are particularly wrong, it's just the nature of the problem.
