Actually, I suppose I'll give it a 1.5 because it's somehow one of the better Kingdom Hearts stories. There are others who deserve a 0 (or 1) more.

Roxas storyline is great and it's the last time the Final Fantasy stuff mattered.

7.5/10 mainly because of Roxas. The Nobodies are also a relatively cool concept even if I'm not sure they always followed through.

My favorite Kingdom Hearts game by quite a margin. I like the story about Roxas, Organization XIII and the direction the story went in.

A couple of interesting concepts and the start of the game before you actually play as Sora is excellent, but this is were the series' story issues really start to show themselves.

The pacing is atrocious and most of the Disney stuff didn't even try. This was really when KH started going off the deep end with a bunch of different Soras and Ansems and stuff, too. The ending's not bad though!

There's charm to the concept still, but they decided to start storytelling via retconning a hell of a lot here, and even the interesting Roxas segment is stranded narratively.

points do go to having a few really cool setpieces. It's not really the "story" but I like the cinematic feel to the battles and reaction commands.

I remember enjoying the opening with Roxas, but other than that KH2's story was a train wreck.

And everything else? Fuck this franchise. Good voice acting be damned, this is written so fucking badly. Hearts and Darkness and alter egos and Namine Kairis and keyblades and Organizations of Sea salt ice cream FUCK THIS HURTS MY BRAIN MAKE IT STOP
