It keeps getting better and better every episode, I want more shows like this. America Ferrera just keeps getting funnier. And I like Jonah's character too. All the characters are just comfortable to watch, like Garrret and Mateo and the store mananger.

It is the very definition of easy to watch. First season is a bit weird, but after that it gets real good. I have already watched through it 4-5 times since it started. Still haven't finished watching the last season though. It was really bad.

It's so comfortable to watch, it really is perfectly bingey. I don't know how I missed this show for years when I was looking for comedies to add on my to watch list. I'd like other the office type shows in different settings, like how this one is the office but with retail.

It was hit and miss with me. Some jokes were great, other times the humor just fell completely flat IMO. I kind of fell away from it i think halfway through season 3 or 4.

The pharmacist guy had me laughing every time though.

Yeah I'm not saying it's on the level of parks and rec/brooklyn 99/the good place, or even 30 rock/community etc, where it's just joke after joke and laughter after laugh. It's just nice and easy to watch, like the office but without a terribly unlikable boss and without the reliance on extreme cringe as a form of humor. Just a nicer show.

Jeff the manager is certainly acting a lot more... how do I say it... let's just say the quirky employees at the store are getting to him and having an effect on him I think.

Just tried it last week, not amazing but watchable. My one gripe is 90% of the store are decent looking to fine af. We've all been in a retail store and most of us have worked retail, on a good day 15, maybe 20% of the staff is actually fuckable. It breaks the immersion for me and I feel like I'm watching a store staffed almost entirely of struggling actors who took a grocery store job to pay the bills while they make it.

Compared to your average Wal Mart crew, yes. Nobody in this pic falls below a 6 imo if we're using regular average people as a barometer, not actors. You're leaving out the pharmacy too and there's some lookers in there IIRC from the 5 or 6 episodes I watched

Some more than others, but as I said at least the retail stores I've gone to are primarily staffed by people that by and far aren't getting hit on. This show doesn't have a single front butt, come on

I almost feel like the writers have never worked retail.
Where are the teenagers there for a PT job?
Where is the motherly figure everyone loves and would fight a mfer for being mean to her?
Where is the middle aged guy that somehow has never been to any sexual harassment training but still walks the line juuuust well enough to not get HR involved?
How about the really fat girl that thinks she's fine AF, always wears headbands and stretch pants and inexplicably always has dates?
Where's my shady dude that always wears his leather coat, goes to everyone's party and is the defacto store drug dealer and hooker upper of alcohol for the underaged workers?
Where's the checked out single mom who isn't having anyone's bullshit but inexplicably keeps her job?
How about the 30ish Eeyore sounding dude that hates his life and always makes dark jokes or is monotone on a good day?

Every retail store ever has at least 3 of these types employed at any given time. Maybe those characters are introduced later, but I feel like the show could be better if they took the risk and really portrayed working in retail.

Ignoring most of what that other user said, in his offence Sandra actually is quite hilarious, especially her whole woobie shy meek thing who occasionally is pushed too far and rages out and goes crazy. She would easily be a knockout if she dropped 300 pounds. Same with Justine, she has one of those faces where it's obvious that if she just lost 500 pounds, she'd be very attractive.

I'm not knocking on the show, it's still good, still a nice and comfy show to watch, I just wouldn't put it in the same category as Better Off Ted, Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn 99, etc.

It's kind of similar to Trial and Error, another show that completely went under everyone's radar, that is similar to Parks and Rec in terms of showing a kooky midwestern/southern community with weird funny quirks and such
