Best: San Diego. Very well organized process there. Smaller and easy to navigate. Scenic as well.

Worst: LAX. Ill admit I dont think its as bad as people say it is. But the traffic alone makes it nightmarish at times.

We talking major international airports only? Or also regionals and smaller ones? Been to a few smaller airports that were a delight to pass through.

Worst overall for me might have been Fort Lauderdale, the terminal where Spirit Airlines was specifically. Super packed, disorganized, and an overall unpleasant experience.

Best: Chicago O'Haire, just because it's the one I've been through the most and never had a bad experience there

Worst: Minneapolis, just because I had a flight there at 8:00 pm and I was checked out of my hotel and had to sit there for 9 hours waiting to fly home.

South Korea and Hong Kong airports were really nice.

Worst was Cambodia, areas under construction, military policemen with rifles, it felt like I was leaving a shack.

Best: Haneda. super clean, very easy to navigate, plenty of stores to hold you over

worst: Addis Ababa Bole. Nothing like a 8 hour flight delay because the ENTIRE AIRPORT lost power for an hour. on top of that, nothing in the terminals.

Mine are through internation gates, not domestic, fyi.

Worst: Dulles. Our plane arrived around 9pmand everything was closed. Couldn't a sandwich or beer or nothing. Our flight was 7am the next day so we read and tried to sleep at our gate but it was fucking cold.

Best: Amsterdam. Everything was open and the people were extremely nice/helpful.

Atlanta isnt bad. I remember liking heathrow.

MN has had a lot of new construction recently and feels a little disjointed. Though they have added more light rail tracks so you dont have to take the moving walkways from one freaking extremity to the other.

Best - Charlotte. Seems very laid back

Worst - Atlanta. Had a tight window for a connecting flight and had to navigate during my first trip. Was flying for a wedding and my luggage was lost with the tuxedo. Second trip wasn't as bad finding my way around, but my luggage was kept off the connecting flight again. They got it to me at my destination the next day.

Best is San Diego. Easy to navigate and the bar at the end of Terminal 2 you can drink while keeping an eye on your gate.

Worst is Kansas City. They separate the gates from the rest of the airport through security and there's two separate areas so you have to make sure you enter through the correct security or else you need to leave and go through the correct one.

Newark is close second worst. Having to get on a bus to transfer terminals sucks in the winter.

My Mexican-American brother in law was detained at the Houston airport for getting through customs literally one minute before the rest of my family and waiting for us.

we had no idea where he was and we missed our connecting flight because of it.

my family is all republicans so they thought the Houston airport was just doing a good job keeping us safe from scary illegals.

anyway thats my answer for worst, its an easy choice

Don't know about the best but the worst is definitely El Dorado International Airport in Bogota, Colombia. It was the first time I boarded a plane from the ground runway with a set of stairs leading into the plane, as opposed to the usual corridor. Don't remember much about it but I remember thinking the airport looked run down or third world.

Best: Schipol in Amsterdam.
Worst: Constanza, Romania, under the Ceauescu dictatorship. (Although it was funny to watch a Brit holidaymaker, who thought the "no photography" rule didn't apply to him, argue with the soldier who'd grabbed his camera and smashed it -- then very quickly backed down when the soldier unslung his AK-47.)

Seoul was probably the best.

Honolulu was my worst experience. Almost missed a connecting flight because it took so long for my first flight to park and deplane. Had to literally run on foot through the airport because there was no available transportation between terminals. The whole airport is open air, and it was sweltering hot and humid that day, so I was drenched in sweat when I finally got to the gate. Maybe it would've been more tolerable with better weather, under a less stressful time-crunch, but man was it bad.

LAX was the worst for me. My checked luggage got sent on a different plane there and it didnt get shipped on another plane until the next day. I was without a change of clothes for the first 2 full days of my trip because of that.

Best I thought was Orlando. Never had an issue there. Security always moved pretty fast. I always found it aesthetically pleasing.

This isn't best, or worse, but Salt Lake City. It used to be my favorite airport. Now that the new build is finished I hate it. I could easily walk to any terminal in the past. Now if I fly back home I have to run for 10 minutes to make it in the same time. The new security system is ridiculous. The line, instead of multiple lines, is long as hell. When you get to the checkpoint to put your carry on stuff on to get checked you are fighting four other people on the same conveyer. That is when you have a ten minute run or 15 minute brisk walk to your terminal. Then when you get to the terminal you walk to a bus station that takes you to your plane. Also the restaurants are smaller then they used to be and there is less of them. If you want to eat get ready to stand in line for a table to be ready. That really screws me over because I can't eat at most restaurants. The old SLC airport used to be heaven for me. I get stressed out using it now to the point I'll drive 12 hours and spend more money in gas.

I have been through many airports, I can't really say any are bad but I try to avoid LAX.

San Diego is very nice even with it being a tight landing due to being close to buildings.

Santa Barbara is really small but looks nice and is a good alternative to LAX.

San Francisco I don't remember much about even with long layovers.

Portland (Oregon) is extremely nice, but it does take awhile to get anywhere since construction was going on last September.

Denver is like a shopping mall and is really big but nice too.

Minneapolis is nice but it takes awhile to get around due to being really big.

Columbus is my home airport and is extremely small for being in the capital (Cleveland is the big airport in Ohio).

Coming back isn't great though. In Lewiston, ID you get checked in to a very small area with one shared bathroom. Sometimes security leaves so you are stuck there if there is a problem. No where to eat or drink. Just the chairs, the bathroom, and a vending machine. I still hate Salt Lake more ha. Of course a small town has a horrible airport. It used to be better also, but SLC? Come on! Why make it worse just to make it pretty!
