After Kang, obviously

I feel like he's better as a looming threat/antihero/reluctant ally. Let him be evil. Let him be unstoppable. But dont try and make him the new Loki, he deserves better.

He's going to be the new Loki. Just accept the inevitability of it.

I'm surprised at Marvel.

One would think that they would have been promoting "the next Thanos" bigtime in the comics and video games. Make Kang the final boss of an Avengers game. Give him a big comic book story where he "kills" Thor. Let his name go viral so that people know who he is when he shows up in the movies.

Instead, whoever becomes the next Final Boss of the MCU is going to be someone to completely come out of nowhere as far as general audiences are concerned.

He isn't the next Thanos. There won't be another multi phase arc like that.

Probably, or at least that appearance will. In the next Ant Man, or in Fantastic Four.

I really hope their MCU movie revitalizes the Fantastic Four in the eyes of the mainstream. This attitude that they're bland/lame is unfair. :(

They did make Ant-Man of all things cool so there is hope.

They said clearly there won't be. Feign is done with that because of the sheer amount of effort and stress required. There's still going to be multi movie arcs, just not another 10 year long or so buildup.

I just don't hope they don't fall for the trap where Avengers movies must only get bigger. A smaller Avengers movie is welcome too

Yea I could see that. That is how it works in the comics. There are many storyline going on in different series. Sometimes they all merge in a universe wide event but not always. Or sometimes they have smaller merges. Like maybe Spider-Man helps out the X-Men

Didn't Marvel say awhile ago they were done with the yearly events? I remember for awhile it was one after another, secretl invasion, dark reign, seige. Tried reading them but it's just too much x.x now picking and choosing different series

Didn't they at least do Avengers vs Inhumans when they were trying to push them to replace the X-Men?

Other than that I think it's mostly been smaller events. I know Venom and the history of the Symbiote have gotten absolutely insane.

I think the best way to handle Doom and Magneto are to have them be side characters in other stuff and just be an overall nuisance, and occasionally helping.

Then they can build them up to be major threats for later on. I don't like how they show up as a big bad and then are turned into an antihero/good guy after their defeat like Loki.

Actually I think Doom would be best as a regular presence as the leader of a sovereign nation. Would be interesting to see Wakanda decide how to act when Doom tells them he has always been aware of their technology and left their borders alone so they should leave his alone. Or post-accords who exactly gets upset when the Avengers take him down and other dictators start claiming they're an arm of the CIA.

EDIT: Hell, they could adjust the Dark Avengers stuff from being an Osborne invention to a Doom one. See what happens when Doom maintains his OWN avengers and sends them on missions so we can watch Cap argue that there's a difference between when they unilaterally perform operations in foreign nations and when Doom's avengers do.

for this to happen we need a good fantastic four movie to build him up plus with it and the whole multiverse arc we can also get the maker from earth 1610 which would be great but again that depends of them doing a good movie to build up reed richards and why an evil version of him would be a treat to the avengers
''edit''
and tbh the one that has the most potential to be the final boss for the MCU verse after thanos would be galactus

Basically what I was thinking, especially since there were old rumors back after Endgame that Doom would be showing up in BP2 and have issues with Wakanda, though that plan has probably long changed now.

I will be really pissed if Doctor Doom is wearing pirated Stark tech instead of his own brand. We've had enough villains (Ultron, Vulture, Mysterio, etc) with the "Tony fucked up" shtick and it would really cheapen Doom.

Galactus is like the perfect mid-trilogy villain. He's a big enough threat to deserve some build-up, but he also transitions neatly into Abraxas if they wanted to further up the ante.

That said, I'd love to see him reprise his galaxy dooming role in Zombies lol

You're thinking in terms of power level and not actual conflict. Galactus isn't someone the heroes actively fight against like that. His defeats come at either convincing him to leave Earth alone or building a device to weaken him and then threatening him to leave Earth alone. That's not something that requires the entire Marvel Universe to do.
