It's a fucking travesty that the Bills don't even get to touch the ball in OT. A game that good, decided by a fucking coin flip. It's beyond absurd.

This isn't the OT rules of yesteryear where all a team had to do was put it in FG range, all the Bills had to do was keep KC out of the endzone. They hold them to a FG and they live to play another series, somebody should have made a play.

If you don't think the Bills would have gotten a touchdown if they got a possession, you don't watch football very much. Both defenses were gassed at the end. Neither side could stop a damn thing. Hence why we ended up in overtime in the first place.

The fact that Buffalo never got to touch the ball in overtime is a problem. Period. And it would have been just as infuriating if the Bills had won the coin toss and the Chiefs never got to touch the ball in OT. The rule is fucking stupid and people have been complaining about it for years. It needs to be changed.

Both teams should get at least one possession. I'm not sure why this is even up for debate. It'd be like if Baseball decided that if you score a run in the top of the 10th inning, the game just ends and the other team doesn't get to bat. You'd be laughed out of the park for even suggesting one team doesn't get a chance to respond.

They also had 13 seconds and let KC get into FG range in 2 plays...

Yeah, I really don't like the whole prevent defense thing. They should really just play their normal defense all the way through.

The Bills had 75 yards worth of field to stop KC's possession or hold them to a FG. Maybe squib the kick to burn off at least 5 seconds before Mahomes gets the ball, and maybe they should have done something other than play their safeties off deep when you know Hill is getting the ball and all they needed was a FG to tie. They were undone by poor coaching and lack of playmaker in the end.

The Chiefs' defense didn't have to. Stop acting like a coin flip didn't decide the outcome of this game.

Could it have been finished in regulation? Yes. Of course. But it wasn't. Because both teams were incapable of playing defense at the end of the game. Multiple times each. But only one of those offenses was allowed to keep playing. And only one of those defenses was required to stop an extra drive. Something neither squad had shown themselves capable of doing.

Why do people cry so hard whenever someone suggests something be set up with some semblance of fairness? Both teams should get a drive in OT. There is literally no argument against it.
