It's got some similarities to maybe Big Trouble In Little China with a big dash of Bill & Ted, and pretty much very similar to any other post-Karate Kid fantasy adventure, if not a cut or two above the usual fare. The supporting cast and villains add to the effect. If you're familiar with the games and cartoons, I wouldn't necessarily recommend going out of your way to watch it... But, should you ever happen across it one day, it is worth a viewing. If the moment arises and you cross paths, sort of thing. Id always been wary of it, but it wasn't god awful by say... Masters of the Universe standards. It wasn't as good as Doom tho either, imo, for comparison. Which, Doom is divisive. I do think Doom was/is better than the Masters of the Universe movie.
