Yes No They're both equally safe They're both equally unsafe VoteView Results People are pointing to left-wing laws as being the reason for why crime is so high in the united states where criminals are being let off easy while theft and homicide rates are rising. But Canada has even more lax laws than the US yet the crime and homicide rates pale in comparison... The obvious reason being Canada has more SOCIAL SERVICES for people too where people are offered help like housing and hospitals. Also I've been down in the worst parts of Vancouver and Seattle and its fine really. Its depressing and its horrible but its not like it's dangerous dangerous. Its just more dangerous than average. Per capita the US annually has around 2.5 times more murders than Canada.
