Even Mark Hamill said "that's not my Luke Skywalker." This is like if Toriyama sold Dragonball to Disney and wrote a lot of shit themselves without Toriyama at all. It's one thing if Toriyama doesn't sell it and he allows someone else to continue the story. That's still canon. But a moneybags company? A moneybags company can only write new canon if it's true to the old material. This was not. It shat on the old material. It's just shit. You can consider it canon, but you can't debunk someone who decides to ignore this new trilogy completely. The saga was already complete before this shit. Now if George Lucas wrote this crap and never sold Star Wars then too bad. But that's not what happened. Like the prequels. You're pretty much stuck with those. Those are canon.
