I wanted to tweet out like "I heard you did Coyote Ugly for the money but you really made that movie with your performance and I wanted to say thanks because it was a really entertaining movie".

Like I'm sure he'd never see it, but A) I'm addicted to this idea that famous folks react to stuff like this, to the point that a handful of genuinely really cool and inspirational folks have responded to some real junk tweets of mine, and B) I'm a gigantic attention whore who legitimately enjoyed his part in Coyote Ugly the most. The Aussie guy was a close #2.

Okay I'm somewhat sobered up and a little bit over the narcissistic streak I was on last night.

Honestly, after the whole shitfight with Roseanne Barr, I'm glad he's doing his own thing and not feeding the trolls. Dude would probably have to like argue with qanon over the Roseanne reboot at this point. I was kinda selfish because I wanted to feel his big, strong arms metaphorically hugging around me with a potential statement of support.

Like I know he probably wouldn't have interacted with a tweet, but I was in that mindset where it's like "validation or death", gotta shoot my shot with the chance of the actual John Goodman seeing my dumb shit or I'll never be happy again. It's the sort of entitlement only the modern internet can provide.

And that sort of entitlement has set in because both Spike Spencer (English dub of Shinji from Evangelion) and the guy who made Lumines, Rez and Tetris Effect have both interacted with my tweets in the past and given me a fat head. Enabling my dumb shit after all the yelling into the void I do is a bad idea.

So basically this thread was a shitty idea because I was drunk and I wanted John Goodman to make his presence known and metaphorically say "I'm a rock and everything is alright", which is an overreach on my part and a deluded fantasy I was gunning for while I was drinking.

Coyote Ugly is one of them movies I have no ideas why I watched so much, but I did, and I would again. In fact, brb, seeing if it's on Netflix.
