Dude is incredibly talented and has a lot of drive, and I think he would have done his own thing either way. It could have ended up like the Queen solo albums, or maybe Foo Fighters could have been a side thing. Maybe Dave could have left Nirvana and done his own thing. Maybe Foo Fighters would have collapsed as a short-lived side project if Nirvana still existed.
