Always been pretty good at taking care of this job. All my peers over scrutinize and question stuff they don't need to, so even when we're busy I get stuff done fast.

We are at slow season and these days the amount of work I get can be done in under 2 hours.

Most of my day is spent walking my dog, reading at coffee shops, having a fancy brunch at some Cafe, or doing something else beneficial. At worst I wind up taking a long nap which is good but sometimes I feel bad for wasting the time.

Also, broke into six figure territory last year. Not doing so bad, and I just thought I'd let CE know it.

Are you a programmer?

I got 3 raises and a promotion less than 2 years ago. I barely do any work. >_> I work in IT, but unfortunately I can't work from home.

I ask because I've made lots more money than I do now but I was miserable because of the pointless nature of the work. Now I make a lot less but I'm happier.

No, not remotely. However, since it impedes on my life very little it doesn't bother me. I love animals and spend my days making sure my dog is as happy and healthy as possible. I have volunteer days I can use to get paid at animal shelters. I also have fulfilling hobbies. When I retire early, I imagine I will devote more of my energy to helping animals and getting that fulfillment.

Haha, I didn't mean in a negative way. If you've worked for it and earned where you are now, you've just reaped what you've sown in a positive way.

Loan officer could mean different things depending on what company you work for. Typically it means you work in sales aka a banker. I am not a salesman. I am the person who cross references their application with guidelines, an Underwriter.

You aren't understanding. My job takes up an extremely small amount of my time and is basically none of my identity as a result.

You spend more time posting on CE than I do working and you get nothing out of it.

Congrats. I have an easy as shit job that I mostly do from home. I work probably more like 4-5 hours on a good day though. I love it since I get to see a lot more of my family. Pay sucks though but the work/life balance is really hard to give up.

I also work with mortgages and the like so I guess that's the place to be. I was offered a job with more pay but then I'd have to work late nights due to timezone work. So I said no.

Well it was considerably worse than that when I switched. I make less than half after 6 years of climbing the ladder and getting pay rises in my current field.
